Bypass Firewall Restrictions
Typically, to establish connectivity for remote peers, you either host your own STUN/TURN services or pay a third-party provider to have them hosted for you.
LiveSwitch Media Servers offer embedded STUN and TURN, eliminating the hassle of running any separate STUN/TURN servers and removing complex credential management. If you are using LiveSwitch Media Servers, you can turn on the STUN/TURN and follow these steps to bypass firewall restrictions:
Configure STUN and TURN bindings for your Media Server Deployments.
Configure your client-side connections to use embedded STUN/TURN services in your app:
a. When creating a
Connectionobject, do not setIceServerstonullor any other values.
b. Setconnection.DisableAutomaticIceServers = falseon theConnectionobject.
